Donuts, Parties, and Costco thoughts

I made baked mini donuts for breakfast... with two glazes. Pink, because the Swimgirls like pink, and chocolate, well, because it's the best. Wonderful vegan recipe with very little fat. They were a huge hit!



Today we have graduation parties to go to, and I need to get ready for just a couple more days of school. That will entail catching up on laundry, making some bread/rolls for lunches, and making a menu and grocery list.

We have had a Costco membership for years. It's worked well for us with so many kids. But now, we're eating much less meat (even chicken, which is about all we buy there), and much less everything, really, and I'm not sure that it's worth it. They raised the prices, so I don't think I will renew next year.

    I've been considering not renewing when my membership runs out, too. There is very little I get there anymore now that we have switched to almost all organic produce, sustainably raised protein, and glass containers instead of ziptop plastic bags. About all I get there anymore is butter, cheese, organic tomato products and toilet paper. And I'm working on finding better sources of the first three.

    I dropped my membership a year ago. What did they raise the membership to now??

    that was my main complaint with Costco. No organic produce. You might find organic this or that, but it was totally hit or miss, and never in the fresh produce.

    Dropped the Costco membership about 3 years ago. Driving, parking, spending about 1 hr "finding" stuff, and during constructing my price book I found the unit prices on most items were not the cheapest. The whole package was not a ride I wanted to take, I guess.

    The donuts look amazing!
